CREW TV presents "Happy Pizza!"

15 Jul 2009

The Song

Fourteen young people, aged 16-21, from North and South of the river are near the completion of an exciting and unique seven month project in which the young people themselves have devised, scripted, acted, directed and filmed three half-hour episodes of their very own TV show that they have dubbed "Happy Pizza!".

"Happy Pizza! follows the life of John Murphy, a pizza guy going through the trials that life has thrown him and who is eager to get out of the life he is living. We follow John as he delivers his pizzas and the lives of his customers unfold. Happy Pizza is a slice of comedy packed with funny shorts and a strong story." - Daryl Carter, 19,North Strand

The young people have successfully trained in all aspects of film and TV production under the direction of well-known filmmakers and actors Aoibheann O'Sullivan, Raja Nundlall and Gerard Lee. The month of July has been dedicated to working full time in DCTV's (Dublin Community Television) studios to bring their creative ideas to life.

"I never had the confidence to do anything like this before, and I'm glad I went for it now. Don't hold back, that's all I can say. Follow your dreams... because we've had a great time doing it." - Willow Moore, 21, Palmerstown

Happy Pizza is in production for the whole month of July 2009. It will be aired on DCTV in October 2009. Don't forget the popcorn!!!
