CityArts has pioneered archiving in the field of participative culture, with the launch of its own archive in 2006.
DIY Archiving workshops offer practical training in methodologies / practices aimed at enabling communities and collaborative artists to develop 'living archives' as an appropriate means by which cultural experience and learnings are transmitted and valued within Civil Society.

DIY Archiving Workshops (2006-07) were led by artist and archivist Alan Phelan, and were designed as a practical response to the growing need by artists, artists' groups and community groups for professional archiving information.
